Job summary

TeacherActive is working with a private day nursery in Wakefield seeking an enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner. You will support children aged 6 months to 4 years, contribute to their development through play, and engage in ongoing safeguarding and EYFS training.

The role is permanent and full-time, with opportunities for CPD and market-leading pay. The nursery values a caring, flexible approach and a commitment to high standards of care.

Qualifications

• Minimum of six months’ experience working with children in a childcare setting.
• Knowledge or understanding of the EYFS curriculum.
• Willingness to undertake training in Safeguarding and the EYFS curriculum.
• Eagerness to learn new skills and develop knowledge of the Early Years sector.
• Caring and positive approach to working with young children.
• Flexible and enthusiastic approach to supporting children’s learning and development.

Responsibilities

TeacherActive is thrilled to be working with a private day nursery based in Wakefield. The nursery provides exceptional care and a range of stimulating learning opportunities, supporting children to develop key cognitive and motor skills through the EYFS curriculum.

The nursery is looking for an enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner to join their team on a permanent, full-time basis, supporting children aged 6 months to 4 years. The successful Early Years Practitioner will be eager to develop their Early Years knowledge, undertake relevant training and take a caring, flexible approach to supporting how children learn.

The successful Early Years Practitioner will have:

• A minimum of six months’ experience working within the childcare sector
• Knowledge or an understanding of the EYFS curriculum
• A willingness to undertake training in areas such as Safeguarding and the EYFS curriculum
• An eagerness to learn new skills and develop knowledge of the Early Years sector
• A caring and positive approach to working with young children
• A flexible and enthusiastic approach to supporting children’s learning and development
