Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting Early Years Practitioners for private day nurseries across Leeds. These full-time, long-term roles start ASAP and involve caring for children aged 0–5, supporting daily routines and development.

Applicants should hold Level 2 or Level 3 Childcare qualifications, Paediatric First Aid, and EYFS knowledge, with at least 3 months in a nursery. By joining, you’ll be part of a supportive team focused on safeguarding and high standards.

Yorkshire and Humber/ contract / £13.50 - 14.75 per hour

Are you passionate about supporting the learning and development of children aged 0 - 5 years?

TeacherActive is proud to be working with several private day nurseries across Leeds who are looking to appoint an Early Years Practitioner. The settings provide care and Early Years education for children aged 0 - 5 years, supporting their learning and development throughout these important early stages.

The nurseries are looking to take on Early Years Practitioners on a full-time, long-term basis with an ASAP start. The successful Early Years Practitioners will work with children across the nursery, supporting their daily routines, learning and development while helping to maintain a safe, engaging and positive environment.

The successful Early Years Practitioners will have:

• Level 2 or Level 3 Childcare qualification
• Paediatric First Aid qualification
• A minimum of 3 months' experience working within a nursery setting
• Knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage / EYFS
• A caring and enthusiastic approach to supporting young children
• The ability to work effectively as part of a nursery team
