Job summary

TeacherActive is working with a private day nursery in Wakefield seeking an enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner. You will support children aged 6 months to 4 years, contribute to their development through play, and engage in ongoing safeguarding and EYFS training.

The role is permanent and full-time, with opportunities for CPD and market-leading pay. The nursery values a caring, flexible approach and a commitment to high standards of care.

Qualifications

• Minimum of six months’ experience working with children in a childcare setting.
• Knowledge or understanding of the EYFS curriculum.
• Willingness to undertake training in Safeguarding and the EYFS curriculum.
• Eagerness to learn new skills and develop knowledge of the Early Years sector.
• Caring and positive approach to working with young children.
• Flexible and enthusiastic approach to supporting children’s learning and development.

Responsibilities

• Support children aged 6 months to 4 years in their daily activities and learning through play.
• Assist with supervision, safety, and routine care to promote development and well-being.
