Job summary

Storal Learning Ltd. is recruiting a part-time lunchtime supervisor for Farley Sparsholt Outdoor Nursery School in Sparsholt, Winchester. You will oversee children during lunch, encourage healthy eating, and support table manners in a safe, cheerful setting.

Applicants with an Early Years qualification (Level 2/3 desirable) and EYFS knowledge are invited to apply. This flexible role offers meaningful part-time hours from 11am to 2pm, Monday to Friday, with benefits including enhanced holidays

Qualifications

• Experience with Early Years settings is desirable.
• Knowledge of the EYFS framework is advantageous.
• Early Years qualification Level 2/3 is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children during lunchtime, ensuring they are seated safely.
• Support and encourage positive behavior at the table.
• Promote healthy eating habits and good oral health.
• Encourage independence in eating and trying different foods.
• Ensure hygiene routines are followed, including hand washing.
• Create a calm, friendly lunchtime environment.
• Assist children who need help with eating or managing meals.
• Monitor behavior and maintain a safe, respectful atmosphere.
• Communicate with parents when needed, providing feedback on eating or behavior.
• Help tidy up after lunch and keep the dining area clean.
• Support transitions to the next activity after lunchtime.

Salary

up to £14.21 per hour (depending on experience and qualifications)

How You’ll Spend Your Time Here

• Supervise children during lunchtime, ensuring they are seated safely
• Support and encourage positive behavior at the table

• Encourage children to eat independently and try different foods
• Ensure children follow hygiene routines, including washing hands
• Create a calm, friendly, and enjoyable lunchtime environment
• Assist children who need help with eating or managing their meals
• Monitor behavior and ensure a safe, respectful atmosphere
• Communicate with parents when needed, providing feedback on eating or behavior
• Help tidy up after lunch and ensure the dining area is clean
• Support children in transitioning to their next activity after lunchtime

We’d love to talk to you if you have the following

• An Early Years qualification at Level 2/3(not essential but desirable)
• Experience of working with all age groups within Early Years settings
• Knowledge of the EYFS framework would be advantageous
