Job summary

Philosophy Education in Lewisham is seeking a Level 3 Early Years Educator to join the Reception team on a part-time, term-time basis from September 2026. The role is 2–3 days per week, with working days agreed on appointment and the school day rhythm adapted to staff availability.

You will join a supportive EYFS team, helping to create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment, delivering phonics, and supporting young children's early language development.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Lewisham is seeking a Level 3 qualified Early Years Educator to join their Reception team on a part-time basis from September 2026.

The Role

This is a part-time opportunity, working 2 to 3 days per week, with the specific working days agreed upon appointment to suit both the successful candidate and the school.
You will join a well-established Early Years team within the school's Reception provision, working closely with the class teacher and other practitioners to create a nurturing, engaging and stimulating learning environment.
Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the planning and delivery of high-quality, play-based learning activities
• Promoting children's progress across all areas of the EYFS curriculum
• Delivering early phonics sessions and supporting children's early language and literacy development
• Leading small group activities and contributing to whole-class carpet sessions
• Observing, assessing and recording children's learning and development
