Job summary

Dovetail & Slate Ltd is seeking an Early Years Assessor to evaluate learners and apprentices against national standards both in the workplace and on programme. You will track progress, provide feedback, and work with local employers to support learners through to completion.

Responsibilities include conducting progress reviews, maintaining records, and travelling to employer sites. A Level 3 EY qualification or Teaching Assistant equivalent and a CAVA/TAQA/A1 or equivalent are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in early years education and care
• Assessing EY learners in FE or training provider setting
• Strong organisational and IT skills
• Hold a valid driving licence and transport for travel between sites

Responsibilities

• Assess learners and apprentices toward Early Years qualifications
• Carry out regular progress reviews and track learner achievement
• Provide clear, constructive feedback to support progression
• Build strong relationships with local Early Years employers
• Travel to employer premises for workplace assessments
• Keep accurate records per awarding body requirements
