Job summary

Dovetail & Slate Ltd is seeking an Early Years Assessor for a further education setting in the North West. You will assess learners and apprentices, both in the workplace and in the classroom, and manage progress reviews with constructive feedback to keep learners on track.

You will travel between employer sites, maintain learner records, and build relationships with early years employers. A Level 3 CAVA/TAQA/A1 or equivalent and a Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Teaching Assistant are

Qualifications

• Experience in early years education and care.
• Experience assessing learners or apprentices, or willingness to transition.
• Good organisational and IT skills; driving licence and transport access.

Responsibilities

• Assess learners’ occupational competence at workplace and learning environment.
• Carry out progress reviews and track individual achievement.
• Provide clear, constructive feedback to support learner progress.
• Maintain accurate learner records per awarding body requirements.
• Build strong employer relationships and travel between placements.
