Job summary

Bright Beginnings in Aldenham is offering two Childcare Apprenticeships. You will study toward your Early Years Practitioner apprenticeship at Level 2 or 3, depending on your prior experience and qualifications, and join a friendly nursery team to gain practical, hands-on experience.

You will support children's learning, development and wellbeing, help prepare engaging activities, maintain a safe environment, and observe and share progress with the team.

Responsibilities

• Support experienced practitioners with the day-to-day care, learning and development of children.
• Help prepare and set up safe, stimulating and age-appropriate activities and learning experiences.
• Support children during play and encourage their curiosity, confidence, independence and social development.
• Assist with daily routines, including mealtimes, rest periods and transitions between activities.
• Build positive and professional relationships with children, parents, carers and colleagues.
• Help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for children.
• Observe children's interests and development and share relevant information with the wider nursery team.
• Support practitioners in following the nursery's policies, procedures and safeguarding requirements.
• Work as part of the team to provide a nurturing and inclusive environment where every child is supported to develop.
• Attend training and complete the required learning activities as part of the apprenticeship programme.
