Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and caring individual to join our team as a Level 2 Childcare Apprentice. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in a childcare setting while working towards a Level 3 qualification. You will support the day‑to‑day care of children aged 2–4 and within after‑school 4–11, ensuring a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment where children can learn, play, and develop.

Responsibilities

Your role will include:

To provide a safe, caring, stimulating educational environment, both indoors and outdoors, at all times.
To help deliver an appropriate play‑based Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum that enables children to make individual progress.
To help ensure the preschool nursery meets Ofsted requirements at all times.
To understand and work to preschool nursery policies and procedures, including how.
To deal with child protection issues appropriately and how to respond to incidents, accidents, complaints and emergencies.
To plan activities which ensure each child is making good progress.
To be a key person, monitoring and updating children’s progress by way of an app.
To ensure records are properly maintained, e.g. accident and incident book, risk assessments.
To undertake any other reasonable duties as directed, in accordance with the preschool aims and objectives.
