Job summary

Elmscot Group is offering an opportunity to complete a national apprenticeship as an Early Years Educator (level 3) across our nursery network. You will receive regular training and an in-house mentor to support your course and help young children learn and stay healthy and safe.

Working at our Hale Barns area, you’ll care for children, plan activities, observe development and collaborate with parents, with routes to a practitioner position on completion subject to status.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths minimum grade 4.
• Excellent communication, organisational and customer care skills.
• Ability to plan activities and support learning.
• Team player with patience and initiative.

Job description

Introduction

We are offering the opportunity for someone to complete a national apprenticeship with us here at Elmscot Group. We offer regular training and an in-house mentor to support you through your course. We have highly trained professionals who play a key role in ensuring that young children learn and develop and are kept healthy and safe.

About the Employer

Elmscot Group is located on Warwick Road in Hale WA15 We are a group of 7 nurseries, after school clubs and holiday clubs all based in Trafford and Cheshire. Elmscot Day Nursery is based in Altrincham.

What You'll Do

• Caring for the children's individual needs and care routines
• Support the children's learning and development through activities you plan
• Observe children in accordance to the Early Years Foundation Stage with fun and exciting activities planned to meet individual needs
• Adhere to a consistent daily routine both indoors and outdoors, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning experiences are offered to children at all times
• Working with parents to ensure consistency and high levels of care
• Reporting to a senior member of staff who will be on hand to offer support and guidance throughout employment

Training Outcome

• Once you complete your Level 3, you may be offered a practitioner position at our nursery and have the opportunity to progress through the company. Subject to status.
