Job summary

Tiny Tots Nursery School in Basingstoke is offering an Apprentice Early Years Educator role. You will help keep children safe, loved and inspired to learn, under the Storal curriculum and our pedagogy throughout daily routines.

We welcome applicants aged 16 or over with English and Maths GCSEs (or Functional Skills) and a commitment to a full apprenticeship. You’ll work Monday to Friday, 36 hours, in a warm, team-focused setting with supportive training and opportunities to grow in early years

Qualifications

• Must have passion for child development and care.
• Able to work effectively in a team setting and communicate with management, peers and parents.
• Commitment to a full apprenticeship programme and taking learning opportunities daily.

Responsibilities

• Apply the Storal curriculum and pedagogy to daily interactions with children.
• Engage in routines to find learning moments in everyday activities (mealtimes, transitions).
• Bond with children and families through meaningful, attentive care.

Our nursery, nestled in a peaceful and tranquil setting. Our beautifully converted red-brick farmhouse provides a calm, home-from-home environment where children feel safe, secure, and ready to learn.

Outdoor learning is at the heart of what we do. Our spacious, walled garden gives our children the freedom to explore, move, and play with friends, while our sensory room offers a cosy, nurturing space for our youngest children. We also make regular use of the neighbouring running track and gardens, further enhancing our outdoor learning experiences.

About the role:

As an Apprentice Early Years Educator you will be a key part of keep our children safe, loved and inspired to learn.

Key activities include:

• Applying the Storal curriculum & our pedagogy principles to our children daily
• Seeking out learning opportunities in everyday routines such as mealtimes & transitions
• Bond with your children and their families by engaging in meaningful moment

Essentials

• Are 16 or over, have a passion for children and an aptitude for learning
• Minimum requirements to apply for this role are English and Maths GCSE grades 2 or E or above OR Functional Skills Level 1 or above.
• are able to commit to a full apprenticeship programme.
• are patient and friendly
