Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking a skilled Cook to handle day-to-day food preparation at a designated station, ensuring dishes meet site standards and are delivered promptly.

You will work with the culinary team, follow strict safety and hygiene practices, monitor stock levels, and assist in maintaining high-quality service across shifts.

Essential: Level 2 Catering & Hospitality, City & Guilds/BTEC/NVQ (basic level), and strong teamwork and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a chef in a contract catering environment.
• Must have Right to Work in the UK.
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
• Excellent listening and communication skills.
• Knowledge of safety, hygiene, and food handling policies.

Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day food preparation and duties assigned by senior chefs.
• Manage cooking at their station to deliver timely dishes.
• Follow safety, hygiene, and correct use of utensils and equipment.
• Notify Senior Chefs when inventory runs low and keep kitchen stocked.
• Collaborate with the culinary team to maintain high-quality food and service.
