Job summary

Fortrea Leeds houses a cGMP-licensed pharmacy, delivering investigational medicines for first-in-human trials within a collaborative clinical research unit. This role combines pharmacy production with hands-on aseptic preparation and study readiness across cross-functional teams.

As a registered UK pharmacist, you will support advanced clinical trial activities, ensure quality and regulatory standards, and contribute to the lifecycle of investigational products in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Master of Pharmacy (MPharm) from an accredited university.
• Registered Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) in the UK.
• Postgraduate qualification in Pharmaceutical Technology and Quality Assurance (PTQA) or equivalent related experience.
• Solid post-registration experience in clinical research pharmacy or cGMP environments.

Responsibilities

• Support study set-up, including manuals, batch records, preparation logs and dose calculations.
• Assist with management of clinical trial productions with sponsors, vendors, clinic staff and coordinators to ensure delivery of IMP in line with the protocol.
• Work hands-on in pharmacy production, preparing, assembling and dispensing study medicines used in first-in-human trials.
• Prepare investigational medicinal products in a clean room environment, applying aseptic techniques and cGMP requirements.
• Monitor storage and environmental conditions for investigational products and materials, ensuring regulatory compliance.
