Job summary

Work with clients who have suspected psychosis or who are presenting with a psychotic illness. Undertake formulation, assessments including risk and specialist assessments such as SCI-PANSS and CAARMS. Plan, monitor, and review care packages.

The posts are within teams across the Pennine Care footprint to the east of Manchester. There are five Early Intervention Teams, all achieving 'top performing' at the National Clinical Audit of Psychosis (NCAP). The organisation has secured additional investment to expand the psychological therapies service to people aged 14-35, including those with an at-risk mental state (ARMS).

Main duties of the job

To participate in the provision of high-quality care. This involves assessing, supporting, and monitoring service users experiencing their 1st episode of psychosis or suspected of developing psychosis. Work will be conducted in various community settings, liaising and co-working with other statutory and non-statutory services. It will also involve working with carers and families of service users, including home visits and appointments in clinics, hostels, supported living, prisons, residential, and nursing homes.
