Elevate Supply are working with a welcoming, Ofsted-rated ‘Good’ primary school in Oldham, seeking a committed Primary Intervention Teaching Assistant to support pupils across Literacy and Numeracy. This role is ideal for someone who is enthusiastic about helping children who need targeted support to achieve their full potential.
About the Role:
You will work closely with class teachers and the SENDCo to deliver structured intervention sessions in Literacy and Numeracy. Your work will focus on helping pupils to build confidence, close learning gaps, and make measurable progress.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver small group and 1:1 intervention sessions in Literacy and Numeracy
Support pupils who need additional help to meet age-related expectations
Monitor and record pupil progress, providing feedback to teaching staff
Prepare and adapt learning materials to meet pupils’ individual needs
Foster a positive and supportive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Previous experience supporting pupils in a primary school setting (desirable but not essential)
A good understanding of Literacy and Numeracy at KS1 and KS2 levels
Strong communication skills and a flexible, proactive attitude
The ability to build positive relationships with children and staff
