Job summary

Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust provides child and adult mental health services across Norfolk and Suffolk. We are seeking a Band 6 Primary Care Mental Health Worker to join the East Suffolk Wellbeing team in Ipswich on a 30-hour week.

You will be part of a dynamic MDT with nurses, social workers and therapists, delivering assessments, brief interventions and group work for children and young people under 18. Training and supervision are provided.

Qualifications

• Appropriate professional qualification e.g.; Registered Nurse, Social Worker or Occupational Therapist.
• Experience in Specialist CAMHS setting is desirable.
• Experience working in a multidisciplinary team and safeguarding practice.
• Knowledge of child and adolescent development and mental health disorders.

Responsibilities

• Offer consultation and training for schools and professionals.
• Undertake assessments and direct work with children, young people and families.
• Manage a caseload within a MDT and support groups for parents.
