Job summary

Suffolk Early Intervention CAMHS in Ipswich is inviting applications for a Band 6 Primary Care Mental Health Worker (PMHW) in the Under 18 Wellbeing team. The role is 30 hours per week, part-time, and based in the East locality.

You will provide consultation, run parental groups, and conduct assessments while managing a small caseload. You will join a dynamic, multidisciplinary team, receive supervision, and gain experience across education, health and social care pathways as the service expands

Qualifications

• Professional qualification in nursing, social work, therapy or equivalent.
• Experience in child and adolescent mental health settings preferred.
• Band 6 level or equivalent with driving for community work may help.

Responsibilities

• Offer consultation and training for schools and professionals.
• Facilitate groups for parents and support delivery of therapeutic groups.
• Undertake assessments and direct work with children, young people and families, managing a caseload.
