Job summary

Suffolk Early Intervention CAMHS is recruiting a Band 6 Primary Care Mental Health Worker (PMHW) to join our Under 18 Wellbeing team on a 30-hour part-time basis. The role is based in Ipswich, East Suffolk, with responsibilities across schools and partner agencies as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

You will provide assessments, direct work with children and families, clinical supervision support, and contribute to groups and training for schools.

Qualifications

• Appropriate professional qualification (nurse, social worker, OT or health visitor).
• Experience in CAMHS or child/young person mental health services.
• Clinical supervisory experience is desirable.
• Willingness to work in a multi-disciplinary team with safeguarding awareness.

Responsibilities

• Offer consultation and training for schools and professionals.
• Facilitate groups for parents and support delivery of therapeutic groups for children and young people.
• Undertake assessments and direct work with children, young people and families; manage a caseload.
