Job summary

Oxford Spires Academy is seeking a passionate EAL Teaching Assistant with excellent communication, literacy and numeracy skills to join a committed team of educational professionals.

This is a part time role with working hours as follows: 3 days per week, 39 weeks per year (8.15am-3.15pm), days to be agreed with Line Manager. Training will be provided for EAL tasks, and safeguarding checks apply as part of the recruitment process.

Qualifications

• Experience in EAL is desirable; training will be provided.
• Ability to work positively in a team, listen to others and share information.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers to improve outcomes and enable curriculum access.
• Facilitate inclusion for learners with English as an Additional Language.
• Assist with literacy and numeracy as part of classroom activities.
