Job summary

Lostock High School in Stretford, Manchester is seeking an L2 EAL Teaching Assistant (Band 3, SCP 6–11) to support pupils with English as an Additional Language and INAs. The role is 36.25 hours per week during 39 weeks per year, on a permanent basis with a dedicated EAL department and strong leadership.

The successful candidate will work with pupils, families and staff to aid integration, and benefit from a comprehensive induction and safeguarding framework.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils with English as an additional language.
• Commitment to safeguarding and safeguarding procedures.
• Ability to work with International New Arrivals (INAs).

Responsibilities

• Support the integration of INAs and pupils with EAL into the school curriculum.
• Provide ongoing support to pupils, families and staff across lessons and activities.
