Job summary

Exclusive Education Ltd is seeking an EAL Coordinator for a welcoming Trafford secondary school. This full-time, temp-to-perm position is ideal for an experienced teacher or EAL specialist with a passion for supporting students who speak English as an Additional Language.

You will lead EAL provision across Key Stages 3 and 4, assess language needs, and work with staff to ensure all learners can access the curriculum and achieve their potential.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting EAL students in a secondary school.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Knowledge of strategies for language acquisition and inclusion.
• Eligibility to work in the UK.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate EAL provision across the school.
• Assess students' English language needs and monitor progress.
• Deliver targeted interventions and small-group support for EAL learners.
• Collaborate with teaching staff to develop inclusive classroom strategies.
• Support academic, social and emotional development of EAL students.
• Liaise with parents, carers and external agencies as required.
