Job summary

Queensmead School in Greater London invites applications for an EAL Coordinator on a fixed-term basis until 16 July 2027. The role supports students aged 11–18 with English as an Additional Language, typically in 1-2-1 or small group settings, within the Inclusion Department.

The post is 32.5 hours per week, term-time only (38 weeks), 8:30am–3:30pm with a 30 minute lunch break. Salary starts at NJC Scale Point 6 (£23,399 actual per year; £30,843 FTE). CELTA desirable; DBS and references required.

Qualifications

• Proven initiative, flexibility and ability to work cooperatively with staff and students.
• Experience supporting EAL learners is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support students aged 11–18 with English as an Additional Language.
• Work in a classroom setting 1-2-1 or with small groups.
• Contribute to the Inclusion Department and school safeguarding.
• Adhere to term-time hours 8:30am–3:30pm and fixed-term end date 16 July 2027.
