Job Title: Lead Application Support Analyst

Are you an experienced Microsoft Dynamics AX specialist seeking your next challenge? My client, a reputable not-for-profit charitable organization, is preparing for a major transformation to upgrade their legacy Microsoft Dynamics AX system. They are looking to recruit a Lead Application Support Analyst to join their business applications team.

The role involves providing support for their existing Microsoft Dynamics AX system while the team focuses on new project implementations. Candidates should have a strong technical background in Microsoft Dynamics AX, scripting experience with T-SQL, and any exposure to X++ would be advantageous. Experience in team leadership and management is also desirable.

Key Responsibilities

1. Provide second-line support for Microsoft Dynamics AX, ISV modules, integrations, and custom applications.
2. Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams for issue resolution requiring third-line support.
3. Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventive measures for data, code, and user issues.
4. Gather, understand, and document solution requirements to meet business needs.
5. Design solutions considering cross-functional impacts across AX modules like Finance, Supply Chain, and HR.
6. Manage configuration, data changes, testing, and coordinate SMEs during UAT.
7. Document specifications for development where configuration is insufficient.
8. Assist with system updates, patches, and upgrades with minimal business disruption.
9. Collaborate with IT and other departments for seamless AX integration and operation.
10. Maintain user access, security, and system performance.
11. Monitor batch and integration processes, resolving related issues.
12. Ensure knowledge transfer within the team to prevent single points of failure.
13. Manage third-party relationships, ensuring effective communication and delivery.

Skills and Experience

1. Extensive hands-on experience with enterprise applications, including AX 2012.
2. Experience with various AX modules such as F&O, HR, Production, Supply Chain, Procurement, Manufacturing, Asset Management.
3. Proficiency in Transact-SQL and understanding of AX architecture.
4. Experience with SharePoint 2013, DocuSign, and security administration for related systems (desirable).
5. Proven leadership experience managing and mentoring small teams.
6. Understanding of third-party application integrations and interfaces.
7. Strong troubleshooting skills and issue resolution experience.
8. Ability to develop and interpret technical documentation.
