Location – Derby (Hybrid working role)
We are seeking a permanent Commercial Analyst responsible for managing the asset value process and applying relevant commercial principles.
This role involves owning and managing the business’s market domain data and charging methodologies.
Main Responsibilities of the role
- Manage the asset value process, ensuring accurate calculation and application of relevant commercial principles.
- Review and update commercial principles regularly to reflect current market conditions and company policies.
- Collaborate with new business teams to prepare asset adoption offers.
- Provide commercial insights and analysis to support decision-making processes.
- Manage and ensure the integrity and accuracy of the business’s market domain data.
- Develop and maintain charging methodologies in line with regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Support the Distribution Use of System (DUOS) billing function.
- Conduct commercial analysis to support various business functions.
- Work with key stakeholders and senior management to develop accurate business reports.
What we need you to have
- Experience in a Commercial Analyst role, preferably within the regulated energy sector.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Proficiency in data management and analysis tools.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to asset management and billing.
- Attention to detail and high accuracy.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proactive and results-driven attitude.
It would be great if you have
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience within an IDNO/DNO.
