NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK, employing around 40,000 staff across various clinical and non-clinical roles. This is a permanent, part-time position of 22.2 hours per week (salary is pro-rata). The shift pattern is 0830-1630/16:18.
As part of Scotland's Vaccination Transformation Programme, we have established four teams across NHSGG&C to deliver childhood immunisations. HCSWs are essential for ensuring smooth community clinic operations, maintaining cold chain procedures, managing stock, and communicating with parents and carers. They contribute to the safe and efficient delivery of immunisations across Greater Glasgow and Clyde.
HCSW Role:
Applicants should have experience working with children, an interest in Public Health, and a desire to work within a small, skilled team. The role involves supporting community clinics in delivering childhood immunisations. Excellent communication skills and IT confidence are essential. Full training will be provided.
Note:
Most positions are based in Renfrewshire/Inverclyde (2 days), but all posts are employed by GGC Board, with cross-boundary working required within the four teams.
