NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is seeking a part-time Healthcare Support Worker for the Vaccination Transformation Programme. This role involves supporting community clinics in delivering childhood immunisations, ensuring smooth operations, and maintaining essential procedures. Applicants should have excellent communication skills and a desire to work with children.
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK, employing around 40,000 staff across various clinical and non-clinical roles. We provide acute hospital, primary, community, and mental health services to a population of over 1.15 million, extending to 2.2 million when regional and national services are included.
This is a permanent, part-time position of 22.2 hours per week (salary is pro-rata for part-time hours).
The shift pattern for this role is from 08:30 to 16:30/16:18.
As part of the Vaccination Transformation Programme in Scotland, we have established four teams across NHSGG&C to deliver childhood immunisations. Healthcare Support Workers (HCSWs) are essential in ensuring the smooth operation of community clinics, maintaining cold chain procedures, ordering stocks and supplies, and communicating regularly with parents and carers. HCSWs contribute to the safe and efficient delivery of immunisations to children across Greater Glasgow and Clyde.
HCSW Role:
These positions will primarily be based in Renfrewshire and Inverclyde (2 days), but all posts are employed by GGC Board, and cross-boundary working within the four teams may be required.
