Senior Contract Manager - Defence (West Midlands)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Contract Manager - Defence based in West Midlands to join a leading design and manufacturing company specialising in Defence products.

This role offers a chance to broaden your skills and manage a variety of commercial responsibilities within a fast-paced, innovative business that designs, manufactures, and integrates advanced protective products.

Responsibilities:
  1. Provide day-to-day commercial and contract management on major defence contracts, serving as the main point of contact.
  2. Support the full project lifecycle, including RFI/pre-qualification, tendering, contract award, changes, performance, and closure.
  3. Assist the sales team with commercial input for bids and proposals.
  4. Negotiate and close contracts with customers and key subcontractors.
Key Skills and Experience:
  1. Experience in a commercial, legal, or contract management role within defence or a highly regulated environment.
  2. Understanding of import/export regulations is desirable.
  3. Proven experience in evaluating, drafting, negotiating, and managing complex contracts.
  4. Experience working with prime defence contractors or highly regulated entities.
  5. Ability to establish and manage strategic relationships.
