Job Description:

Location: UK Wide (Remote, with office access)

Arcadis is the world's leading company delivering sustainable design, engineering, and consultancy solutions for natural and built assets.

We are more than 36,000 people, in over 70 countries, dedicated to improving quality of life. Everyone has an important role to play. With the power of many curious minds, together we can solve the world's most complex challenges and deliver more impact together.

Arcadis is looking to add an experienced and motivated Senior Contracts Manager to its team. This role supports the contract governance function within the Intelligence Global Business Area and specializes in contracting digital product offerings to public and B2B environments. Responsibilities include leading commercial, contractual, and technical interpretation of contract terms, supporting performance, and proactively managing risks, issues, and opportunities within the GBA. The role owns contract lifecycle management and contract compliance activities, supporting account managers through contract initiation, creation, negotiation (with legal team), approval, execution, and performance monitoring.

You will establish, manage, and maintain a robust set of contract KPIs, working with account managers to meet these targets. You will support the commercial evaluation and preparation of contract change proposals, collaborating with the legal team on drafting and negotiating proposals through to signature. The ability to operate independently and communicate effectively internally with technical staff, peers, management, and externally with customers and regulators is essential. This role is pivotal in ensuring effective checks and balances in a centralized manner covering all aspects of CLM, especially as Arcadis integrates various software products.

The role is within our global business area, Intelligence, which leverages digital intelligence and deep human knowledge to create holistic products and solutions. We empower clients with agile, data-driven insights and technologies to address global challenges such as climate change, urbanization, digitalization, socio-economic disruption, and societal expectations, all aimed at improving quality of life.

This position is responsible for the day-to-day management and maintenance of Contract Lifecycle Management processes relevant to our products and services. Key responsibilities include establishing and maintaining robust CLM processes for the Intelligence GBA, ensuring alignment with all Arcadis corporate functions, and leading collaboration with technology and growth teams to provide best-in-class, scalable products to clients.

Qualifications & Experience:

Passion for improving quality of life and a commitment to transforming the world are essential. A bachelor's or master's degree in commercial management and at least 10 years of experience in commercial, risk, and legal negotiation of complex digital product projects are required. Proven success in project execution, negotiation, financial performance, technical compliance, and client engagement is necessary.

You should demonstrate high intellectual, professional, and interpersonal agility, with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate at all organizational levels, especially senior management. A pragmatic attitude is vital.

Additional Requirements:

  • Complete understanding of the Contract Lifecycle Management phases in a digital product environment, preferably in public sector and B2B contexts.
  • Strong understanding of compliance frameworks.
  • Well-developed understanding and alignment with organizational mission, values, and goals.
  • Effective observation and persuasion skills, especially with internal stakeholders (e.g., GBA directors, local workforce).
  • Ability to communicate contractual details clearly and actionably, both orally and in writing.
  • Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills with competing priorities.
  • Strong decision-making capabilities, particularly in dealing with conflicting priorities.
