Position: Regional Sales Director / Operations Director

You will oversee approximately £80 million P&L across the North-West of England, demonstrating collaborative leadership, strategic awareness, and a balanced sales and operations background.

Salary & Benefits:

  • £110,000 - £130,000 basic salary + 30% STIP

Location: Home-based, covering the North West of the UK (e.g., Liverpool, Manchester, Stoke-on-Trent, Wolverhampton, Birmingham, Chester, Crewe, Derby, Stockport, Bolton)

Job Description

As a Regional Sales & Operations Director, you will guide the operational and strategic direction of your region. This role requires a dynamic leader capable of ensuring smooth operations and driving significant growth, with strong commercial acumen and experience in process transformation and exceeding customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage commercial operations across 4-6 depots, with a combined P&L of circa £80 million and £30 million EBITDA, overseeing teams focused on operations and sales.
  • Lead, coach, motivate, and develop a team of 7-10 direct and additional indirect colleagues, emphasizing people development and succession planning.
  • Implement sales strategies to grow profitability with key clients, including major construction contractors.
  • Promote a safety-first culture, leading transformational changes in safety, service, quality, cost, and delivery.
Person Specification

  • Fast-paced manufacturing or related sectors such as construction, food, automotive, pharmaceuticals, ideally within larger corporations.
  • Leading and developing teams of 5-10 direct and 60+ indirect staff.
  • A management style that is visible, approachable, knowledgeable, and accountable.
  • Managing a P&L of over £20 million with a focus on profitable growth.
  • Experience with continuous improvement, transformational change, and M&A integration.
