About the role…

This is an exciting time to join our newly established team! As a Talent Acquisition Business Partner, you will play a key role in building and shaping our approach to hiring at the Crick. You will lead the end-to-end recruitment process for your areas, from sourcing and attracting top talent to selection, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for all candidates.

Bringing your proven ability to build strong relationships with hiring managers and leaders, you will have the opportunity to shape recruitment practices across departments. By developing innovative strategies, you'll build diverse talent pipelines that support our hiring plans with a strong focus on equity, diversity, and inclusion.

You will also play a key role in enhancing our employer brand by creating compelling content that highlights our values and culture, ultimately strengthening our employee value proposition and supporting our hiring efforts.

This is a great opportunity to involved in the establishment and development of a TA function playing a pivotal role as we shape the future of recruitment at the Crick.

What you will be doing…

  • Responsible for all areas of talent identification including attraction, sourcing, selection and onboarding across research and operations roles.
  • Build strong, collaborative working relationships with leadership teams and hiring managers, ensuring delivery of a high-quality resourcing service.
  • Lead the design of assessment and selection processes; ensure the delivery of fair and inclusive values-based selection approaches
  • Create innovative resourcing campaigns to attract suitable candidates (active and passive) through direct sources particularly via social media, building networks and specialist routes to market
  • Work to deliver high calibre candidate pools, continuously building talent pipelines to ensure there are multiple qualified candidates in play at all times.
  • To keep up to date with external trends and best practice in Resourcing/Talent, reviewing and bringing the outside in to support and advance the resourcing strategy
  • Provide a consistently positive candidate experience, act as an ambassador for the Crick and raise awareness of our Employer Brand

You will bring…

  • Proven in-house recruitment experience, preferably within a scientific or technical background (desirable).
  • A consultative approach with experience in partnering with leaders to deliver end-to-end recruitment for specialist, hard-to-fill roles quickly and efficiently.
  • In-depth understanding of the external recruitment landscape, with a desire to stay engaged and informed on the latest trends in recruitment.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to challenge and influence effectively.
  • Curiosity about recruitment best practices, technology trends, and an eagerness to bring new ideas to the table.
  • A proactive, problem-solving attitude and the ability to seek out and address challenges.
