As a Talent Acquisition Partner , you will be a strategic recruiting partner, creatively sourcing candidates and managing the full life-cycle recruitment process for positions across our European offices. You will also support ad-hoc recruitment in Asia. You will manage multiple openings at all levels, including current and anticipated project roles. The role requires a good grasp of our key practice areas and expertise, strong global networks and sourcing aptitude, the ability to manage competing priorities, handle ambiguity, and communicate with leaders at all levels of the firm. We are looking for someone who will help us not only meet emerging talent needs but, more importantly, build a strong global talent pipeline for the future. The ideal candidate is someone with a proven track record in global talent acquisition, knowledge of our industry, and experience working effectively across various cultures and geographic regions.

This role reports to the Director of Global Talent Acquisition , based in London.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and operate a centre of excellence for talent acquisition in Europe, partnering with business leaders and HR business partners to develop a talent acquisition strategy responsive to rapidly emerging business needs.
  • Manage full life-cycle recruiting at all levels: source candidates, conduct phone screen interviews, maintain relationships with candidates throughout the interview process, make recommendations on hiring decisions, check candidate references, and negotiate and prepare offers.
  • Partner with senior leaders, hiring managers, practice group leaders, and resource management to understand short- and long-term needs and priorities across the business, identify passive and active candidates, and build strong global candidate pipelines.
  • Expand and leverage external networks; build relationships with professional groups and educational institutions and promote the APCO employer brand.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with recruiters in other regions to optimize sourcing, networks, and enhance candidate engagement and experience.
  • Partner with other team members to identify process improvement opportunities.
  • Actively engage with our internal talent pool about existing and future opportunities and track interest and availability.
  • Stay current and proactive in identifying the latest best practices and developments in talent acquisition, including appropriate AI/technology and social media tools.

What We're Looking For:

  • At least 7-10+ years of recruitment experience, ideally with a minimum of four years of in-house recruitment experience. Experience recruiting for roles in the communications, advocacy, or public affairs space is highly desired.
  • Demonstrated success in market mapping and building strong candidate pipelines across Europe.
  • A track record of identifying, headhunting, and hiring top talent and providing an excellent candidate experience.
  • Strong understanding of behavioral and case interviewing techniques.
  • Excellent written and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels and across cultures.
  • A collaborative team player with the ability to work independently, take initiative, and set priorities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities.
  • Creative problem-solver with strong analytical skills.
