Job Opening: Assistant Product Manager at Hitchin

We currently have a vacancy for the role of Assistant Product Manager at the Hitchin site. The successful candidate will support the Business Line Manager in driving profitable growth for the Utilities product portfolios through effective management of proposed new products and existing products.

Responsibilities include:

1. Supporting the strategic and operational objectives of the business by adopting state-of-the-art product and business management principles.
2. Creating, implementing, and monitoring product specifications, strategies, and plans to achieve sales and profit targets.
3. Developing, communicating, and supporting product management initiatives throughout the product lifecycle.
4. Monitoring market, competitor, and industry trends to identify opportunities or threats.
5. Analyzing product performance against sales and profit targets to identify variances and implement corrective actions.
6. Conducting research on sales, market trends, and competitors to identify differentiation opportunities and enhance competitiveness.
7. Assisting with VOC activities and data collection analysis.
8. Understanding market drivers, USPs, positioning, and differentiation for new products.
9. Estimating market trends and forecasting product demand.
10. Monitoring and analyzing product range performance.

Candidate Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have a degree (or equivalent) in a technical or business management subject with an interest in Product Management. They should demonstrate strategic thinking, analytical skills, and a learning mindset. Attention to detail, accuracy, a positive attitude, flexibility, and a methodical approach are essential. Proven ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently along with excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills are required.
