Job description

Servaada is Wipro's UK entity, authorised by the FCA (the UK financial services regulator) to undertake regulated activities on behalf of its clients, as an outsourced service provider.

About the Role:

As a Senior Technical Analyst, you are responsible for providing technical expertise, support and direction to the company, its trustees and, as appropriate, to third parties. You will be responsible for driving technical pension policies for the business and you will be the focal point for complex pension legislation and business solutions, translating this to the firm’s pension proposition and its scheme administration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively keep up to date with FCA, DWP and HMRC changes, assessing the impact of changes and ensuring there is clear internal and external communication on the impact and providing training where needed
  • Take ownership to resolve proposition and technical queries from the Business Development, Operational and Change Team and support teams with resolution of complex case referrals from Operations/Advisers
  • Working closely with other internal teams, conducting analysis of customer demand and regulatory changes, and supporting the implementation of any required or recommended changes to ensure the business continues to deliver good customer outcomes
  • You will proactively identify any new arising risks and support delivery of strong governance solutions to mitigate against poor customer outcomes
  • Input into regulatory documentation and/or outputs, web content and operational procedures from a technical point of view ensuring they are clear, accurate and not misleading
  • Analyse any developing pensions legislations and oversee any major changes and ensuring ongoing compliance
  • Engage and support our colleagues with the management and delivery of systems, regulatory and legislative change for the benefit of our customers and business growth opportunities
  • Analyse and resolve complex pension technical queries and act as a reference point and trouble-shooter in relation to company’s systems, products and processes, liaising with internal and external contacts where appropriate
  • Represent the Group at relevant Industry bodies (e.g. TISA) relevant panels, working groups which enable you to support the development of the Group brand as a key contributor in technical discussions
  • Ensure the Customer Operations and Customer Experience teams are following procedures and processes in relation to the Groups pensions products and support them with any technical questions and advice, providing training where required
  • Take an active role on projects that could impact on the Groups pension processes or systems using areas of technical expertise and/or acting as departmental interface for specific activities required
  • Contribute to, and partake in, helping to implement any new products and tools related to the Group’s pension proposition
  • Support the business by following procedures to manage operational risk and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
  • You will, from time to time, be required to undertake other activities that fall within your capabilities as directed by management

Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

  • Knowledge of investment platform, SIPP, GIA and ISA is essential
  • Knowledge of the wider pensions market is essential
  • Experience working with HMRC and FCA rules
  • Self-starter, highly organised and able to work well with colleagues at all levels in the organisation
  • Confident presenter and strong interpersonal skills are essential
  • You will need a calm demeanour with the ability to remain un-flustered and maintain a cool head in challenging situations
  • Robust experience in pension administration and regulatory projects management
  • Excellent understanding of pension legislation and regulations
  • Strong knowledge of retail financial services and the UK platform market
  • Strong relationship management skills
  • Well-developed analytical and presentation skills
  • Ability to problem solve and resolve outstanding issues
  • Excellent time management, decision-making and interpersonal skills
  • Able to analyse and interpret information and think laterally and quickly to identify creative solutions
  • Able to communicate information to a variety of audiences at a level appropriate to that audience
  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant industry experience
  • Recognised financial services qualifications i.e CISI, CII
