Equans is looking for a Technical Services Manager to join our team in Rochdale on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, bonus and benefits package.

Based at Oldham School Newman RC, the TSM will be responsible for the technical performance and maintenance of standards within the contracts for both Rochdale and Oldham PFI Schools.

Providing guidance to others on site, showing technical expertise in mechanical, electrical and fabric systems, to ensure appropriate and compliant solutions and efficient customer service delivery. Manage a team of engineers to ensure full compliance with all relevant regulations.

What will you deliver?
  1. Planning and implementation of change to improve service and operational quality and customer satisfaction.
  2. Ensure customer-focused service delivery, contractual and procedural compliance across the PFI contracts with regards to the following aspects of the Contract:
  3. Ensure the provision and maintenance of a high level of Mechanical / Electrical / Support to our Clients.
  4. Ensure up-to-date accurate asset management and support to the Life Cycle Manager in complying with the contract lifecycle requirements.
  5. Manage a team of engineering staff to maintain the school contract to contractual and acceptable standards.
  6. Form part of the RP/AP roles as required by the contracts.
  7. Offer technical support as required to the business.
  8. Ensure all statutory obligations are maintained in line with current legislation.
  9. Manage reactive works to meet contractual timescales.
  10. Manage PPM to meet contractual/statutory timescales.
  11. Organize engineers' daily work schedules.
  12. Coordinate statutory inspections to ensure compliance with contractual and legal obligations.
  13. Complete health and safety audits and follow-up actions.
  14. Monitor staff performance, conduct inductions, and manage actions where necessary.
  15. Manage subcontractors effectively.

Who are we looking for?
  • Experience in Hard services in a supervisory or higher role
  • Knowledge of other services like support, admin, finance
  • People management experience, including HR compliance
  • Experience managing subcontractors and maintaining standards
  • Ability to respond to bespoke client requests and generate reports
  • Proficiency in standard IT packages
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Organized, efficient, self-motivated, and able to work independently
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Data analysis and reporting experience
  • Minimum IOSH Working Safely certification
  • Experience with Asset Management and CAFM systems
  • Experience in Life Cycle management and working within budgets
