The Fund Accounting Analyst for Derivatives is an intermediate-level position responsible for participating in various fund valuation derivatives activities in coordination with the Operations - Transaction Services team. The overall objective of this role is to ensure the accuracy of derivatives transactions for inclusion within the calculation of daily and periodic Net Asset Valuations (NAVs) for funds and the distribution of associated unit prices through completion of tasks and oversight of processes in offshore locations.

Responsibilities:
  1. Monitor work activities to ensure timeliness and accuracy of the funds activities in the derivatives team and offshore locations, for client and NAV deliverables.
  2. Process daily work in a timely and accurate manner, and act as an escalation point for questions and research.
  3. Oversee all derivative fund accounting teams in offshore locations for our clients, holding teams accountable to the level of service provided through regular governance calls and thematic analysis of escalations or exceptions.
  4. Review associate work and provide signoff for complex transactions or sensitive clients, offering additional SME support.
  5. Assist in developing training materials and training employees, and act as an escalation point for questions and research.
  6. Ensure procedures and controls are followed, and the integrity of the data processing environment is maintained.
  7. Support and oversee overall fraud quality control, both monetary and non-monetary.
  8. Assist the manager in identifying the need for and implementing procedural changes, and act as a backup for the manager.
  9. Assess risks when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets, by driving compliance with laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to policies, and escalating control issues transparently.
Qualifications:
  1. Relevant experience with derivatives (OTC and ETD).
  2. Experience in accounting, finance, or a related business area.
  3. Experience in fund administration, change management, and/or project management.
  4. Knowledge of financial operations.
  5. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  6. Proficiency in Excel is a key requirement.
