Job description

A vacancy has arisen within Business Services for a full-time Administration Assistant.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a team supporting the Facilities Management team. The role is based at Corten House, Durham.

WHAT IS INVOLVED?

The duties include:

  • Placing orders, raising invoices, dealing with invoice queries
  • Administering the access control system
  • Creating staff ID’s and granting access to DCC sites
  • Co-ordinating meetings, agendas, and maintaining action logs
  • Monitoring an inbox and dealing with queries
  • Contributing towards the development of systems and processes to meet operational needs
  • Carrying out research for Facilities-related products and services
  • Providing general administrative support to the Facilities Management team

We are looking for an enthusiastic team player who takes pride in providing excellent customer service.

The successful candidate will have good communication skills, be able to work under pressure to tight deadlines, with a high degree of accuracy, be well-organised and flexible, have good IT skills, and manage changing priorities.

You will also need to be able to work unsupervised using your initiative.

WHAT WILL I NEED?

You should have 5 GCSEs (grades A-C) or equivalent. Please refer to the attached person specification for the full criteria.
