Private Client Administrator

Location: Birmingham

Salary: £26,000 - £30,000

Employment Type: Full Time

About the Role

A top 100 Birmingham firm, known to us as a longstanding client, is looking to add an experienced Private Client Administrator to their Trusts team. The role is based in well-equipped offices in an impressive setting, close to commuter links. The Private Client Administrator will work with a cohesive team of Lawyers, Administrators, and Fee Earners to deliver a high-quality service across a full range of Private Client duties in Birmingham.

Responsibilities
  • Inputting data into the firm’s standard trust accounting tools.
  • Managing and administering trusts, including preparing all related accounting records and HMRC returns.
  • Assisting with the completion of tax returns and tax deduction certificates.
  • Corresponding with banks, investment managers, and others regarding funds and investments held on behalf of clients.
  • Communicating with various parties regarding the administration of assets within a trust, liaising between parties to obtain instructions and forwarding these accordingly.
  • Making payments to beneficiaries.
  • Managing files under supervision.
Skills and Experience
  • Extensive relevant experience in Private Client / Trusts.
  • Strong IT skills, particularly with Excel or similar data manipulation tools.
  • Good written English.
  • A strong numerical ability and experience preparing trust accounts and related tax paperwork.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships.
  • Clear and empathetic communication skills over the phone.
  • Ability to work productively under pressure and meet deadlines.
