Job Description

Reporting into the Transport Shift Manager, the Transport Operations Support will provide general administration support to the Transport Department.

Working hours:

Monday to Thursday nights, 17.00-03.30 (flexibility is required to work a 4 on 4 off shift, 19.00-07.00 at times to cover holiday).

Salary:

£26,137.50 per annum.

Key Duties of Transport Operations Support

1. Brief and debrief drivers correctly.
2. Check all timesheets and ensure all paperwork is correct and organized alphabetically.
3. Check drivers' wallets and issue any information, e.g., mail.
4. Print all dispatch notes and replenish dispatch paper as required.
5. Answer the telephone and assist with inquiries.
6. Download drivers' cards/tachographs.
7. Ensure all Estimated Time of Arrivals (ETAs) are communicated.
8. Update spreadsheets, including trailer changeovers, run summaries, and trailer check sheets.
9. Depart loads using Warehouse Management System (WMS) and input all departed loads.
10. Ensure all uplifts are dispatched in correct loads.
11. Report any overspill and complete all relevant paperwork accurately.

Qualifications

1. Previous experience in a similar role is desirable.
2. Good attention to detail and accuracy.
3. Excellent communication skills to deliver accurate information.
4. Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure.
5. Ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
6. Computer literacy, particularly MS Office applications (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, or equivalent).
7. Ability to work as part of a team or individually.
