Are you an inspiring leader looking for a new opportunity? Do you have a passion for helping children thrive?

Here at Aspris, we are proud to be a leading provider of specialist education services with over 30 schools nationwide. We are recruiting for a Headteacher to join us at Tor View School. Working with the close support of our Regional Director, we are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic, and talented Headteacher; someone with the commitment and strategic vision to build a school that can achieve the very best for our young people.

About the school:

Tor View School is a special school that enables young people with Autism, trauma-related interruptions, communication needs, and learning difficulties to access an appropriate curriculum in a supportive environment in the heart of Devon. With typical class sizes of 4, we provide the care, attention, and dedication needed to help all students access education and reach their individual goals and aspirations.

We have been rated as ‘Good’ overall and ‘Outstanding’ in the categories of ‘Behaviour and attitudes,’ ‘Personal development,’ and ‘Leadership and management’ by Ofsted.

In the recent Ofsted report, inspectors said: ‘Pupils shine at this happy and effective school. They feel valued and safe because staff understand their needs and how to meet them. Staff promote positive relationships very effectively. They secure a holistic view of pupils’ needs and challenges, ensuring that pupils benefit from tailored, personalised programmes of study.’

If you are an outstanding relationship builder who can inspire exceptional performance and maintain a positive and enthusiastic learning environment for pupils and colleagues alike, this could be the perfect career move for you! If you are a current school leader or colleague looking for your next step into headship, we welcome your application.

What you will receive:
  • A teacher’s pension
  • A relocation package*
  • Access to exclusive rewards and discounts
  • A commitment to your ongoing training and career progression
  • Cycle-to-work scheme

As part of Aspris Children’s Services, we are immensely proud of the career pathways and training we offer. We ask that you demonstrate the values, transferable skills, and life experience needed for this role. In return, we will provide all the training and support necessary for your progression.

*We are offering a relocation package for suitable candidates outside the immediate region.

If this sounds like the right opportunity for you, apply online today or contact Robyn Hill to discuss the role in more detail.

Aspris is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All applicants must be willing to undergo safeguarding screening appropriate to the post, including checks with the Disclosure & Barring Service and at least two references covering the last three years. For roles within our schools, references may be requested prior to interview.
