A full time post in Respiratory Medicine at the Stepping Hill Hospital site of the Stockport NHS Foundation Trust.
The Respiratory Medicine medical team currently consists of 6 respiratory consultants, 3 middle grades, and 6 junior medical staff including trainee participants, a team of specialist nurses and respiratory physiologists. Specialist services include Lung Cancer, NIV and Community COPD with further service developments in progress and plans for further expansion of the consultant body.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a range of respiratory inpatients including those requiring acute NIV, as well as the opportunity to gain valuable experience in respiratory outpatient clinics and procedures including bronchoscopy and pleural procedures. The applicant will also be part of the on call rota which will give excellent experience in dealing with acute medical admissions.
This post has regular on-call commitments. Office accommodation will be provided.
