SENIOR CLINICAL FELLOW

Acute Frailty

We are excited to recruit for a Senior Clinical Fellow post.

We are seeking a proactive, forward-thinking, and dynamic individual to join our growing Acute Frailty Team.

The Senior Clinical Fellow post is for 40 hours per week.

This position is included in the Acute Frailty Team's 7-day rota. There are no GIM on-call commitments, although they can be added on an ad-hoc or rota basis if desired.

You will work alongside an experienced team of Consultants, Middle Grades, Junior medical staff, ACPs, Physician Associates, and a multidisciplinary team.

  • Clinical responsibility for assisting in the investigation, diagnosis, and treatment, under consultant supervision, of patients in AFU.
  • Expected to attend consultant ward rounds; present cases; discuss differential diagnoses and management; carry out appropriate practical skills with patients.
  • Responsible for maintaining comprehensive clinical records of patients admitted to the ward; required to produce a written summary at discharge; participate in audit data collection; attend clinical governance and audit meetings.
  • Provide middle grade support to the junior medical team.
