This role covers Hampshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, and West Sussex.

Applicants must reside within these areas and have proven experience in Specification Sales, particularly within Healthcare & Education sectors.

Job Purpose

Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager and part of the Sales Team, this role involves engaging with architects, designers, end users, and main contractors to specify key projects and support sales targets in our Health, Aged Care, and Education segments.

  • Understand and become an authority on Health, Aged Care, and Education customer needs and solutions.
  • Build relationships with architects, interior designers, NHS trusts, healthcare groups, aged care providers, local authorities, councils, universities, student accommodation providers, main contractors, and framework partners to create a strong network and preference for Tarkett.
  • Enhance Tarkett’s brand awareness by promoting our expertise, brand values, and sustainability commitments.
  • Develop project specifications, generate and qualify leads, and follow up to secure Tarkett’s involvement.
  • Provide product information, solutions, and technical support to customers.
  • Present design solutions aligned with current trends and customer aspirations.
  • Deliver Life Cycle Cost analyses and VREP presentations.
  • Participate in industry exhibitions and events.
  • Present company information through CPDs and training sessions.
  • Network proactively with new and existing main contractors and framework partners.
  • Establish relationships with decision-makers at head and regional levels (buyers, QS, project managers).
  • Understand customer operations and project pipelines, sharing information to secure specifications.
  • Collaborate with the Trade Team to add value during refurbishments and engineering opportunities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with estate departments and facilities management in healthcare, aged care, and education sectors.
  • Identify future opportunities for Tarkett specifications.
  • Participate in weekly project meetings with the Trade Sales Manager.
  • Maintain accurate project pipelines and customer data within CRM systems.
  • Stay knowledgeable about Tarkett products (Carpet Tiles, Luxury Vinyl Tiles, Homogeneous and Heterogeneous Vinyl, Linoleum, Sports Flooring) and competitors.
  • Share market intelligence relevant to targeted customers.
  • Complete administrative tasks efficiently, including CRM updates and journey planning.
