An established industry player is seeking a proactive HR Advisor to provide comprehensive HR support throughout the employee lifecycle. This hands-on role involves advising managers and employees on HR policies, managing employee relations, and supporting recruitment and onboarding processes. As an HR Advisor, you will provide comprehensive HR support throughout the employee lifecycle, ensuring best practice and compliance with company policies. This is a hands-on generalist role suitable for someone with strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach.
Key Responsibilities
• Advise managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and employment law.
• Manage employee relations issues, including investigations, disciplinary, and grievance processes.
• Support recruitment and onboarding, including drafting job descriptions, interviewing, and induction.
• Administer absence, holiday, and leave records, ensuring accurate HR documentation.
• Coordinate learning and development activities, liaising with managers and the training team.
• Support payroll processes by ensuring timely and accurate submission of HR data.
• Maintain HR systems and personnel files in line with GDPR and company standards.
• Assist with HR projects and initiatives, including employee engagement and wellbeing.
• Provide guidance on performance management, probation reviews, and appraisals.
• Prepare HR reports and analytics as required.
Person Specification
• Previous experience in a similar HR Advisor or HR Generalist role.
• Good understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Proficient in MS Office and HRIS systems.
• CIPD Level 3 (or working towards) is desirable but not essential.
• Experience in a fast-paced, commercial environment is advantageous.
