ABOUT THE ROLE

As Head of Paid Media, you will lead and develop the paid media team, advancing our capabilities and ensuring our clients achieve exceptional results across social, search, and programmatic channels. You’ll bring deep technical expertise, creative thinking, and a sharp commercial mindset to elevate our approach to media.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Own and develop Charlie Oscar’s paid media proposition, ensuring we stay ahead of the market.
  • Lead strategy and execution for paid social, paid search, and digital media campaigns across platforms (Meta, Google, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, etc.).
  • Manage and mentor a team of media specialists, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Oversee media planning, buying, and optimization, ensuring maximum ROI for clients.
  • Drive innovation in digital media, testing new formats, strategies, and technologies.
  • Partner with clients and internal teams to align paid media strategies with broader marketing and business goals.
  • Report on campaign performance and insights, translating them into actionable strategies for growth.
  • Work closely with data teams to translate COmpass outputs into actionable media optimizations that drive performance.
  • Ensure campaigns utilize the latest trends, formats, and storytelling techniques on social and digital platforms.
  • Build relationships with platform partners to understand best practices and opportunities.
  • Contribute to new business efforts and position Charlie Oscar as an industry thought leader.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
  • 10+ years experience across paid media channels and platforms, ideally within an agency setting.
  • Deep expertise and passion for paid social and search platforms, with hands-on campaign management experience.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data and derive insights.
  • Experience leading teams and developing talent.
  • A commercial mindset focused on revenue growth for clients and the agency.
  • Passion for digital innovation and industry trend awareness.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to articulate complex strategies simply and compellingly.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, eager to build and grow a department within an agency.
