Job description

Tapp is on a mission to revolutionize how small food & beverage businesses handle payments. We’re building the first hardwareless POS platform designed from the ground up to serve small merchants - with AI-powered menus, QR code ordering, and tap-on-phone payments, all in one slick and simple product.

Think: Square + Shopify + OpenAI, purpose-built for corner cafés, small shops, and food trucks who’ve been overcharged and underserved for too long. We're backed by capital and a killer product, and we're entering the UK market at the perfect time to scale.

The Role

We’re looking for an execution-driven Paid Media Growth Lead to build and run our performance marketing engine from scratch. This role is about getting things live, learning fast, and driving measurable growth for Tapp.

You’ll take ownership of our paid acquisition across Meta, Google, TikTok, LinkedIn and beyond. You’ll create full-funnel strategies, build and run campaigns, test creatives, implement tracking infrastructure, and iterate based on ROAS, CTR, CAC, and conversion data.

You’ll work directly with the founders. This is a doer’s role with serious strategic impact - and a direct path to Head of Growth or CMO if you nail it.

What You'll Own

  • Set up, manage, and scale paid campaigns across Meta, Google, TikTok, and LinkedIn
  • Run A/B tests, retargeting flows, and conversion optimization experiments
  • Track everything - from ad click to customer sign-up - and build clear attribution
  • Work closely with founders on messaging, audience targeting, and landing page testing
  • Recommend and implement the analytics stack (Pixel, GA4, tracking tools, etc.)
  • Shape creative direction for paid ads (video, static, UGC-style), and either produce or coordinate their creation
  • Optimise every step of the funnel: CPC, CTR, CVR, CAC, ROAS
  • Iterate quickly: test, measure, adapt - fast and often
  • Report on results weekly, and refine strategy based on performance

What We’re Looking For

  • 2–5+ years of experience owning paid media campaigns - ideally in B2C, SMB, or DTC settings where you've had to build, learn, and iterate fast
  • Proven results: high ROAS, strong CTRs, clear CAC improvements - we’ll ask for real examples
  • Deep hands-on knowledge of Meta and Google Ads (TikTok and LinkedIn are a plus)
  • Fluent in performance creative: you know how to test messaging, images, and hooks, not just optimize bids
  • Analytical mindset - strong on conversion data, attribution, funnel diagnostics
  • Startup-ready: you thrive in ambiguity, can create your own workflows, and take ownership from day one
  • Comfortable using AI tools (e.g., for copy iteration, creative testing, reporting) - we’re an AI-native team and believe in tools when they make us faster or smarter
