ROLE:

Area Sales Manager

HOURS:

40 per Week - Permanent Role

SALARY:

up to £40,000 basic salary per year

BONUS/OTE:

Realistic total earning potential of up to £50,000 per year

This is a field-based role covering the North East and Scotland Branches within our Trade Branch Network

Role Overview:

We are recruiting an Area Sales Manager, a new role within our award-winning trade branch network. The role involves identifying, maintaining, and maximizing customer relationships with commercial trade customers to drive sales and increase market share. The focus is on building strong customer relationships to maximize volume, income, and margin.

Responsibilities:
  • Build strategic relationships with trade customers to create and maximize strong customer relationships
  • Support business growth and deliver profitable sales growth for the region and sales territory
  • Achieve sales targets through relationship selling based on understanding the customer's business
  • Manage customer accounts and relationships, and identify new sales opportunities
  • Collaborate with branch teams to achieve and exceed sales targets
  • Deliver excellent customer service and identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities
  • Stay updated on local competitor activity, market changes, and industry trends
Candidate Requirements:
  • A full driving license is essential
  • Experience in field-based business development and sales generation
  • Experience in trade, builders merchant, retail, glazing, or PVC-u environment is advantageous
  • Commercial awareness, negotiation skills, and understanding of profit margins
  • Experience in delivering sales presentations to diverse customers
  • Ability to work independently towards targets and deadlines
