Job Description

Join our dynamic Transmission & Distribution team as an Electrical HVAC/HVDC Cable Engineer and contribute to energy infrastructure projects. You will perform cable design tasks, develop engineering assignments, and provide guidance to junior staff, working both offshore and onshore.

Responsibilities

1. Perform specific tasks within broader assignments, focusing on software modeling for cable design.
2. Gather and correlate engineering data, adhering to industry standards such as IEC, CIGRE, and local regulations.
3. Develop detailed design calculations, routing, installation, and maintenance plans.
4. Propose solutions to new problems, modify standard procedures, and identify discrepancies in results.
5. Mentor junior engineers and work independently within budgets and schedules.

Qualifications

1. Electrical/electronic/power engineering qualification (HNC, HND, BSc, MSc).
2. Chartered Engineer status or working towards it.
3. Experience with software tools like Cymcap, Cableizer, and COMSOL.
4. Understanding of HVAC and HVDC transmission principles.
5. Knowledge of power system characteristics.
