We are seeking an experienced ECC (NEC4 Engineering and Construction Contract) Project Manager to join us. This role offers the chance to work on a variety of projects across technical disciplines with clients nationwide, including HVDC, interconnectors, wind farms, substations, OHL, geotechnical solutions, building design, protection systems, LVAC, FEED, new builds, refurbishment, and connection schemes.

You will be part of a growing, collaborative team, partnering with clients to develop innovative, sustainable solutions addressing industry-wide efficiency and environmental challenges. With ambitious growth plans, there are excellent development opportunities to be part of the UK’s energy transition.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full project lifecycle from feasibility to detailed design, construction, and closure.
  • Report on project status, including commercial and programme updates.
  • Manage internal teams, clients, and subcontractors.
  • Oversee contract management and adherence to contract data.
  • Manage time, quality, cost, and risk throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Raise changes (compensation events and early warnings) promptly through to completion.
  • Communicate and report to clients and subcontractors.
  • Promote high standards of health and safety.

Candidate Profile

You are proactive, with knowledge of the electricity transmission and distribution industry. You can coach and collaborate within the wider energy team, understand industry best practices, and are engaged in the engineering community.

  • NEC4 ECC Project Manager accreditation required.
  • Previous project management experience in relevant areas.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.

Knowledge of National Grid's Transmission procedures, Technical Specification, Guidance Notes, and Design Handbooks related to civil/structural engineering in UK T&D infrastructure is highly desirable. An understanding of Impressed Voltage issues is preferable.
