Ventus Energy is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team and contribute to our ongoing success.

The Electrical Engineer will join a talented team within Ventus Energy's Asset Management Division, responsible for delivering High Voltage Safety Management, Operations & Maintenance, Commissioning & Fault Response services across various High Voltage networks, both offshore and onshore.

Location: Hybrid working, remote possible but must be able to attend either our Belfast or North Shields office when required. UK-based applicants only.

About The Role

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide engineering support internally and externally for operational delivery across sites including substations, wind farms, and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) from LV to 400kV.
• Liaise with engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to resolve technical issues, advise on findings, root causes, risks, and solutions for smooth operations.
• Develop and maintain engineering documentation such as schematics, reports, and manuals.
• Draft test plans and interpret results for commissioning and fault diagnosis on high voltage systems.
• Assist in bid process coordination and management, providing technical input and supporting existing contracts.
• Contribute to reviewing and developing Ventus Energy’s Electrical & Mechanical Safety Rules for legal compliance and conduct training as needed.
• Support the implementation and approval of Ventus Energy EMSRs.
• Stay informed on industry trends, new technologies, and regulations.

Desired Criteria

• Previously held or currently hold an SAP Authorization
• Experience in renewable energy sectors like wind, solar, or energy storage systems

• Experience with SCADA and HVDC Systems
