A leading public health division in Lincolnshire is seeking passionate Senior Health Protection Nurses to enhance community health. The role involves managing health protection initiatives, collaborating with teams, and leading areas like Infection Control and Sexual Health. Ideal candidates will have NMC registration and relevant experience, with opportunities for professional development.
The team plays a vital role in protecting our communities from infectious diseases and other public health hazards. We are looking for passionate Senior Health Protection Nurses to join our team and become part of a progressive Lincolnshire Public Health division.
The Senior Health Protection Nurses will have a key role within the Lincolnshire Public Health Team, supporting the delivery of Health Protection across Lincolnshire. They will work collaboratively with Health Protection Managers and wider Public Health staff to manage incidents and outbreaks of infectious and environmental hazards.
The post holders will work both collaboratively and autonomously, using transferable knowledge and skills to develop and deliver the Health Protection service. They will act as catalysts for change and service development, challenging boundaries to find innovative solutions that meet the needs of the service, stakeholders, and staff.
The post holders will engage in broader Health Protection activities and lead specific areas such as Infection Prevention & Control, Screening & Immunisation, and Sexual Health.
If you have the following qualifications, we would like to hear from you:
You will need to undertake an enhanced DBS check. The ideal candidate will have experience in Health Protection, Infection Prevention & Control, and Public Health, with problem-solving skills and the ability to handle challenging issues.
You should be comfortable building trusted stakeholder relationships in sensitive environments, with effective influencing and negotiation skills. Travel is expected, and access to a car is required; travel expenses and professional registration fees are reimbursed. We support ongoing professional development.
